Decision making: efficiency, equity and rights

A part of environmental engineering that is inseparable is its implementation, thus it provide tight relation with policy and management concerned on a given environmental case. It is undebatable that vital stage on policy implementation is on how the decision is being made.

It is mandatory to be familiar with some of the terms used in this post. In the background of setting decision, first time approach introduced was productive efficiency. Its efficiency is indicated by the benefit resulted from the decision. Then comes term cost benefit analysis, this term is very popular that it allows to determine and calculate the net benefit. Net benefit is simple-defined as the benefit received after cost reduction. Next stage of decision making process is to consider other criteria by distinguishing legal and moral rights.

Mercury Regulation and Standards

I made short of compilation, gathering information related to mercury regulation, standards, for its presence in water, fishes and other sites for many countries. However, I believe this information is extremely uncomplete. There is not much information I can find of mercury regulation in the internet, thus the information below is very limited to some countries. I will update if I find another mercury-related regulation for these and another countries.
